Slow Day Sunday-Slow Cook. How comforting macaroni and cheese can be on a seemingly the slowest day of the week, Sunday.

Let’s look at a simple recipe on how to use this quickly and save a ton of time for your special quest.

I am starting a bit early in order to have that self- pampering time for yourself, of course.

Kick off your shoes afterward and relax with tour feet up, to smell the aroma of this comforting dish before your quest arrives.

” NO – FUSS MACARONI & CHEESE”

MAKES 6 to 8 SERVINGS

2 cups (about 8 ounces) uncooked elbow macaroni

4 ounces pasteurized process cheese product, cubed

1 cup (4 ounces) shredded mild Cheddar cheese

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 cups milk

SLOW DAY SUNDAY – SLOW COOK

Let’s now start this quick simple dish for a Sunday to share and enjoy alike.

Combine macaroni, cheese, salt and pepper in slow cooker. Pour milk over top. Cover: cook on LOW 2 TO 3 HOURS, Stirring after 20 to 30 minutes.

VARIATION: stir in sliced hot dogs or vegetables near the end of cooking. Cover: cook until heated through.

NOTE; as with all macaroni and cheese dishes, the cheese thickens and begins to dry out as it sits. If it becomes too dry. stir in a little extra milk. Do not cook longer than 4 hours.

This is a simple way to make macaroni and cheese without boiling water and taking the time to cook the noodles.
