3 Tips for Saving Money
Taking a look at your savings account in the bank or credit union, is it as “fat” as you would like it to be? I know mine tends to fluctuate up and down, even though I try to leave it alone for my set goals.
Well let’s take a look at 3 tips practically anyone can start to use today I would say.
TIP #1 Instead of giving the exact amount for an item at the store, give an extra dollar bill, so you can get change up to 99 cents back.
When you get your change back, start a savings jar at home. Begin to fill this jar up with change. Once it is filled with change, take it to the bank and deposit in your savings account
Now at my house we are using a big 5 gallon empty water jug and I know it will take longer to fill-up, but it is kind of fun to drop the extra coins in the jar and watch it grow.

TIP #2 How about thinking cheap: Instead of buying the fancy twice as much as the dollar store napkins- buy napkins from the dollar store. I don’t think it will make a difference to use them. No one will ever know the difference that they used the napkin just to wipe their mouth and hands and toss it in the trash.
TIP#3 Find Free Things. There are clothing charity who give away free clothing no matter what your income status. If you need a new shirt for work, a new lamp for the office; look online for these charities. Ask a family member if they have items they don’t use or want.
